While incorporated only in 2013 as a high-quality handcrafted product design company, Dimzique Jewellery can trace its foundation as far back as the year 2006 when its founder, Ms Yvonne Manyiki, launched Yvonne Designs as a sole proprietor buying and selling ladies’ accessories such as jewellery, watches, bags and hats and operated a stall at the Top Deck of the Cape Town Train Station. 

 

Yvonne Designs itself traces its inspiration as far back as 2002 when Yvonne was first exposed to the arts and craft market at her very first job working as a sales person in one of the craft market stalls in Cape Town shortly after arriving in the mother city. It is this very personal journey of discovering passion through exposure to economic opportunities that continues to inspire Yvonne to structure Dimzique Jewelleryas a creative and design company. 

 

 

Dimzique Jewellery continues to be an inspiration for young and old alike – specializing in a wide variety of high quality handcrafted unique and contemporary beaded jewellery designs that are locally manufactured by our dedicated and creative partners.

 

 

Dimzique Jewellery sought to incorporate sustainable socio-economic development into the business through the empowerment of local women, youth and people with disabilities from within the marginalized communities – most of whom are trained to work from the comfort of their homes as most are unemployed housewives with not prior skills or job prospects.

As trusted partners to the business, these local women, youth and people with disabilities have undergone rigorous training and development over the years to ensure that they are adequately skilled to produce any of the Dimzique Jewellery product range – which to date is over 270.

 

 

Supported by its inspirational developmental journey and design ethos as well as its customer-centric approach to doing business, Dimzique Jewellery continues on its growth trajectory and continues to marvel trade shows and exhibition patrons’ year-on-year with its innovative beading designs and craftsmanship. In order to achieve the goal of expanding its footprint in South Africa, Africa and the world, Dimzique Jewellery partnered with key corporate clients such as: Watkins Valeur, Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company(TMACC), Tsogo Sun, SEDA, CDI and Proudly South African.

As a result, in 2019 Dimzique Jewellery had an opportunity to showcase its innovative, creative and design capabilities by designing a catwalk range for the Torino Fashion Week in Italy through the 100% sponsorship support by the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA).

 

 

The success of Dimzique Jewellery is rooted in the commitment of its creative partners, the support and mentorship programs attended over the years from various organizations such as Craft and Design Institute (CDI), SEDA, Tsogo Sun Entrepreneurs and Siyakha in partnership with TMACC, to mention but a few. With each mentorship program packaged differently and targeted on various aspects of the business.  It was through this rigorous training and mentorship which landed Dimzique Jewellery on the top 3 spot of Tsogo Sun Entrepreneur of the year award in 2019, in which Dimzique Jewellery won the third spot.
